Its MAJOR crunch time over in Brazil as the end of the 2014 FIFA World Cup is upon us! If you haven't been keeping up with the soccer (or should we say, football?) madness, a total of 64 matches are being played in 12 cities across Brazil to see who will be the new world champions.
With 32 teams participating, it's now down to the final TWO: Germany and Argentina will duel it out in the championship game this weekend as Brazil and the Netherlands, who both came up short in the semifinals, will compete for third place. Here at TeenNick, we've been fiercely watching to see which team will bring home the cup. All we know is that it's gonna be a nail biter!
To celebrate the global soccer competition, we've asked some of our favorite nail artists to share with us World Cup nail art that represents the final four countries still in the tournament. And wow, are we impressed!
Credit: Ideias de Caroline
Unfortunately for Brazil, after winning 4 games and tying 1, they suffered a brutal 7-1 loss to Germany two nights ago. *Sheds tear* But, it's not over yet! We're still rooting for you, Brazil, in your final match against the Netherlands for third place. Here's hoping these festive green and blue nails with gold star decals get you in the zone just as much as they did for us!

Undefeated throughout this entire competition, Argentina has been killing it! With one of the world's best players on their side, Lionel Messi, Argentina is definitely a force to be reckoned with in the championship game. And look at those perfectly painted Argentinean flags. Don't the suns just scream winner?!
The Dutch have been pretty dominant on the field as well! Beating Spain, who were the defending champions of the 2010 FIFA World Cup, was a huge triumph for them. We're pretty sure they came back with a vengeance after they were the runner-ups to Spain in the 2010 finals. Their World Cup journey stopped short, however, after a brutal loss to Argentina in a penalty kick shoot-out. But that didn't stop our girl at lalalacquer from doing an awesome job of combining the Dutch flag with the country's famous tulips. Flowers on nails just never get old, do they?!
Credit: Little Red Loves
Talk about powerful! These nails definitely show the strength of Germany's team as they enter the finals against Argentina. The black, red and yellow ombre effect is definitely what we call FIERCE! And isn't the soccer ball just the perfect reminder of what this competition is all about? We're talking about the love of the game, of course!
During these final days we wish the remaining teams the best of luck! Fans, be sure to show your spirit. Again we'll be biting our nails in anticipation (or should we say painting them...)! Which
countrynail design are you rooting for?

Okay. Even though it seems like June just started, *looks at watch* can you believe July is almost here?! Summer is no longer kicking off, y'all. It is ALIVE and thriving, and the arrival of the most patriotic month of the year can only mean one thing, right? 4th of July preparations! In between firing up the grill for your BBQ party and securing your best red, white and blue outfit, take a look at some 4th of July manicures that just scream star spangled GLAMOUR! *`*`\*/^*~\**`~\/**\*/?~*\?~/\ <-- That's our best attempt at firework emojis.
Credit: Amber Did ItWhat we love most about this 4th of July nail art (other than the polka dots, of course) is that it's just begging to be recreated at home. You wont need any fancy stencils or brushes, just a steady hand and some glitter polish!
Credit: Dressed Up NailsUm, how cute are those bows? Major props to our gal at Dressed Up Nails for perfecting this intricate design!

TeenNick Top 10 fans, we have some BIG news! This Friday at 10pm ET on an all-new episode, pop star Rita Ora will visit Top 10 HQ for a special interview. This British PYT (Pretty Young Thing) has made a name for herself in the music world with hits like "Party (This Is How We Do)" and "I Will Never Let You Down," but did you know that Rita's fashion game is on point, too?
From casual street wear to glamorous red carpet ensembles, she uses fashion as another form of self expression -- and here at TeenNick Style, that's what we're all about. When she's rocking out on stage, you'll always find her making a statement. In honor of Rita's appearance on TeenNick Top 10 this Friday, check out her top ten most memorable, outrageous and downright AMAZE performance outfits!

A bodysuit may not be the most practical or inconspicuous off-stage ensemble, but for dancing around to a crowd of screaming fans? it's perfect. Plus, with those fresh sneakers, cartwheels and karate high kicks have never been easier.
Credit: Getty Images
In Tokyo, Rita took a tip from Japanese fashion in a baby-blue mini-dress accented with furry pom poms. And at last year's MTV Video Music Awards, she walked the red carpet in a show-stopping gown with a spectacular feathered train that went on for days. (Rumor has it, she needed an assistant just to help her move around!)
Credit: Getty Images
Color explosion! One thing's for sure, this girl is not afraid of hues. For a recent television performance, Rita danced around in an all-white mid-length dress while paint was splattered all over her. And at a 2012 concert in New York City, she opted for a bedazzled, almost-reflective skirt and jacket combo.

But just as well as she can do polychromatic, Rita's got the monochromatic look down, too. Simple and sleek in both an all-black and all-white ensemble (backpack included), this pop-star is totally versatile.

And finally, one of Rita Ora's signature looks: High fashion pieces paired with more casual street wear. Girl can rock a beanie OR a flat-brim baseball cap (and with a pom on top, because why not?) just like she can own a pair of army pants or white slacks with a pair of EYEBALLS on the thighs. *Fans self* *Drops mic*
Want to see more of Rita Ora and her fashionable self? Tune in to TeenNick Top 10 this Friday at 10pm ET!

The sun is out, and 'tis the season to shed some layers! There are countless reasons the summer season rocks our socks off (literally because, you know, ~heat~), but summer fashion is probably one of the things we look forward to most. And here's why!
COLOR ME VIBRANT
Bright hues and hot weather go together. It's a fact! Summer is a great time to experiment with bold colors and accent pieces, even if you have a thing for neutrals. Don't be afraid to get noticed! Crave neon? Shine Bright. Love turquoise? Us, too.
LIFE'S A BEACH
It's summer. It's hot. It's humid. The last thing you want to do is spend hours subjecting your luscious locks to added heat of hair dryers, curling irons and straighteners. Get yourself some sea salt texturizing spray, and fall in love with the breezy, beach wave hairstyle! Not only will it appear as if you just emerged from the saline sea, but the less perfect the 'do, the better it looks!
MAKE A STATEMENT
What you give up in layers, you make up for in accessories during the warm-weather months. Statement jewelry can transform an otherwise subdued outfit into a showstopper. And if subtle is, in fact, your modus operandi, cooler pieces with chunky shapes strike a perfect balance!
State the obvious: Sandals and flip-flops are a staple of any summer wardrobe. And since you're probably not going to be stomping on the sand in combat boots (unless you're into that sorta thing!), bearing your feet is inevitable. We love summer footwear because it invites us to show off a little color on our toes (and also encourages all-around good hygiene). Hot pink, fiery red, gentle lilac -- the colors abound! Plus, we all know pedicures last way longer than manicures so if you're going to treat yourself, why not make it count?!
HEAD IN THE GAME
During the summer, sometimes (read: almost always) practicality wins. You can never quite overestimate the strength of the sun, but you can always shield it in style. We love vintage-inspired sunglasses with round frames, and fedora hats might as well be called super chic shade-makers. Plus, when you're trying to tame those pesky baby hairs on windier days at the shore, colorful cloth hairbands are a BLESSING.
Do you have a favorite summer item? Let us know what how you're shaking up your summer style in the comments!

Finals are done, grades are in, and it's time to graduate! From all of us at TeenNick, conGRADulations to all of the happy diplomates out there! And although we know that closing this very important chapter in your life can be bittersweet, forget the pomp and circumstance for a moment, and consider these five ways to upgrade your graduation cap and gown!
Multicolored, neon sneakers may not be a staple in everyone's wardrobe, but with an ensemble as uniform as a graduation cap and gown, fresh kicks can be just the polychromatic pop your outfit needs. Plus, this particular footwear is perfect for the ambitious grad who intends to do a cartwheel or a "Yippee!" high jump as he or she receives that coveted diploma.
You don't have to live in California or Hawaii to infuse a little island spirit into your graduation outfit. As the tradition goes, leis are presented to someone who is arriving or leaving, so it totally makes to wear beautiful flower necklaces to symbolize embarking upon the next stage of your life!
Whether your ceremony is outside on a field or in an air conditioned gym, pop on some bright, statement sunglasses (extra points for over-sized clown glasses) and your parents and teachers will know just how seriously you take this big milestone in your life.
Nail art is one of the subtler ways to upgrade a graduation outfit. Whether you opt for a simple accent nail or an all-out grad-themed design, your manicured tentacles are sure to add a little personality to an otherwise homogeneous look.
Mom, Dad and other important adults in your life did a lot to help you get where you are. Write a message of thanks on your cap so they can spot your gratitude in the crowd. Or celebrate your class by writing your graduation year in glitter, recall an inside joke with your best friend, or just decorate that thing however your baccalaureate heart desires!
Are you graduating this year? Tell us, what are you going to do to take your grad outfit to the next level?

Oh hey, '90s fans. Grab your Tomagotchis, lace up your Airwalks, and throw it on back to a time when neon fanny packs, over-sized flannel shirts, backward baseball caps, and explosions of color reigned supreme. You know you loved the ridiculousness of '90s fashion, so we rounded up some of our favorite moments from '90s Nick shows to demonstrate just how sartorially EPIC its characters were!
Take a look at the outfits from shows like Clarissa Explains It All, Hey Dude!, Alex Mack, Salute Your Shorts, Doug and more, and you'll see that memorable fashion is just one of of the many reasons the '90s were, indeed, all that.
Gypsy sleeves and patchwork denim? Yes, please. Clarissa taught us many a lesson about owning your personal style.
The over-sized khaki shorts and all-denim-everything look of the Hey Dude era definitely contributed to our dreams of living on a ranch.
We just have two words for you: bucket hat.

Wahhh, you guys! Prom is just around the corner and the prepping, prom-posing and primping is in full swing! Maybe you're the kind of gal who bought her prom dress back in October, orrr maybe you're like us, and wait until the very last minute to pull together the perfect ensemble (or should we say, PROM-semble?).
If you are looking for a little sartorial inspiration this prom season, we've taken it upon ourselves to gather four complete prom looks for you. Of course, these outfits are meant to merely guide your already stellar personal sense of style, so check out our vision boards below, and get ready for the best prom EVER!
Prom is kind of a big deal, so why hold back? Head-to-toe sequins and a glamorous gold floor-length gown will put the royal touch on an already-majestic eve. To really dress up your ensemble, add a pair of drop diamond earrings (side note: totally fake, totally fine) and a shimmering clutch. Get ready to turn heads, because there's no chance you'll get lost in the (Cupid) shuffle!
Is Audrey Hepburn your muse? Do the words "classic" or "timeless" come to mind when describing your personal style? Are you looking to re-purpose that Little Black Dress sitting in your closet? If you answered "Yes" to any of these questions, throw together a simple black frock, a string of pearls, some black pumps, and a metallic clutch—you've got an elegant, chic and totally economical prom look!
PRETTY IN PINK
A flora-inspired prom outfit is fun and whimsical without being too formal. Short dresses are totally acceptable for prom, and you can enhance your look with a loud color or fun pattern. It's a playful and charming take on the promenade, but a pair of drop earrings and cute up-do can easily add a little extra glam!
So, you're planning to name your Facebook album "Morp" because it's "Prom" backwards and you're just cool like that. If you think of prom as an opportunity to go against tradition and experiment with your style, then you might fancy the rebel-prom look—it's a perfect way to mix and match colors, patterns and materials! Who says you can't wear a leather moto jacket to the big dance? And sparkly oxfords? Wayyy more comfortable than heels.
Now, tell us! Which look do you like best? Which look could you most see yourself wearing? Take our quiz to see if your answer matches up!

It's that magical time of year again--the dress-shopping, corsage-buying and picture-taking that is prom. You can't wait, right?? Wrong. For some people, the idea of prom isn't so magical. Whether that special date never came along, you can't stand the thought of dressing up, or you simply cringe at the idea of prom altogether, never fear! Instead of spending your energy dreading that "special" night, why not throw the BEST ANTI-PROM EVER?! We've come up with five fantastic ways to complete the task, so plan away!
1. Get outta town! Don't spend your prom night at home with your cat! Why not grab a few friends and get away? Whether it's dinner at that cool new restaurant a few towns over or an entire weekend getaway, try planning something in advance so you have some great anti-prom plans to look forward to! Make sure to take tons of pictures for Facebook and Instagram to show your prom-goers that, hey, prom ain't everything!
2. Have a prom-themed movie night! Rather than getting all dressed up and spending the night out, cozy up in your sweat pants, gather your favorite snacks and settle down on the couch for a movie marathon. Whether you want to watch something romantic, funny or terrifying, there are plenty of prom-themed movies to choose from. We have to say, those prom horror movies just go to show that the dance of the year isn't always what it's cracked up to be!
3. Create your own magical evening! While your classmates are off dancing to the soothing tones of Pitbull and Avicii, you can create an atmosphere at home that is truly beautiful and memorable. Set up a table outside under the stars, decorate your porch with string lights and put together your favorite playlist for the evening. Cook a delicious meal with a few friends and enjoy the first warm nights of the summer. There's a chance you won't miss the chaos and noise of "real" prom.
4. Never grow up! Instead of completing the teenage rite of passage that is prom, why not relive your childhood? Invite your friends over for a night of board games, junk food and Spongebob marathons. Break out the Play-Doh and Legos and rediscover the good old days when EVERYTHING was fun! (But for the record, we fully believe that no matter how old you are, everything can be fun.)
5. Throw your own bad prom with your friends! Go to your local thrift store and pick out your favorite ugly prom outfit—preferably something colorful with a hideous pattern and shoulder pads from the '80s. Encourage everyone else to dress as ridiculously as possible. Hang a sheet on your wall and set up a photo station to commemorate a night of fun, friends, and hideous outfits.
So what if prom's not your thing? Get out there and have a good time!
Got more ideas about having the perfect anti-prom? Comment below and let us know what your plans are! Or, if you want to find how YOU should best spend your alternative prom night, take our quiz!

FAN QUESTION: What is the best way to make a dramatic eye? Every time I try I end up using way too much shadow and liner. Help!
When creating a dramatic eye look, the best advice I can give is to start light and gradually (and most importantly, evenly) work your way darker. The most common error I see with a smokey eye is dark pigment not evenly distributed. This error shapes your eyes two different ways, and we all know that look isn't cute! Until you get the hang of it, I'd suggest replicating each stroke to both eyes as you go to avoid forgetting a step or forgetting which colour you used.
For a beginner smokey eye, I'd always suggest using browns or blues, as black is a very harsh colour and is usually minimally used in an average dramatic look. For example: Try a light gold all over the lid as a base. Once that step is complete, use a crease brush to blend a darker colour (I usually use brown) into your eye lid crease. Repeat step two until the desired amount of colour is applied. Blend the darker colour into the outer part of the eyelid (closest to your ears), then complete the look with a top liner and mascara. Tip: Once you've mastered this simple smokey eye guide, try switching it up or adding colours for variety!
