Who knew that looking back on the Nickelodeon shows that defined your childhood could actually help define your style and move you fashion forward? The closets of Nick stars are bursting with fashion inspiration to spice up your wardrobe, and ultimately, your life.
Oh, and psssst: Have you heard The Splat is coming?
Arnold's got a unique sense of style with that little skirt thing he always wears -- er, um, I mean shirt. He's pretty much the founder of the layered flannel look, and for that, he's a bold kid.
Petunia danced her way into our hearts, and Little Pete made tattoos seem so much more accessible. If you're thinking about getting a tattoo but feeling nervous about the whole ordeal, just think of Little Pete. If this kid can get a tattoo on his forearm and back, you can too!
Debbie is a style icon. Go on a safari to Brooklyn, and you'll see a lot of this.
Alex Mack may have her doubts about her style choices, but she set the standard for beanies, bandanas, snapbacks and bucket hats for generations to come. Not to mention her exquisite taste for flannel and stripes. Pretty big deal, I guess. *shrug*
Platform shoes and wide-brim floppy hats are all the rage these days. The beavers are pretty angry that they're not credited with reviving this disco era trend.
Embrace what makes you unique. Big Ears? Big deal. Your so-called "flaws" give you character.
If designers didn't break some rules and take some not-so-socially-acceptable risks, we might never move fashion forward. While we can't exactly walk around completely nakey, we should remember that confidence is the most important accessory.
In the '90s, thin eyebrows were all the rage, but Helga went against the grain and paved the way for thick eyebrows everywhere.
Whether you're hanging out in Olmec's temple or down on a dude ranch, denim on denim will never die. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Grab a brown satchel bag for added flair, or a cowboy hat for country western pizazz.
Before SpongeBob, there was Sponge, and Sponge is doing a lot of things right: 1) Those trendy, round glasses. Step aside, Harry Potter. 2) That patterned shirt. Triangles, squiggly lines and blobs are all you need. 3) That high-tech watch and computer. Not quite as light as air, but still sleek.
Spotlight's on you, Harold, for bringing crop tops to the mainstream.
Heffer DEFINITELY started the shirtless suspenders trend.
Monochromatic, matching outfits were in style long before Kim and Kanye sported the look at the 2015 MTV VMAs.
Hawaiian shirts are suddenly cool in an ironic way, with a deeper meaning that Uncle Tito would no doubt have some wisdom about. Also, note the small ponytail on the top of his head looks a little like a top knot, doesn't it? As the ancient Hawaiians used to say, "Only the man with the knot on his head can loosen the knot in his heart." (Just kidding, they probably didn't say that.)
Chuckie and Phil prove that clothes don't have a gender. Let your spirit guide what you wear, and may the Clan of the Duck live on forever.
Ginger taught us that less is more, and that you should always stay true to who you are -- both inside and out. Wear what makes you happy, and rock on with your beautiful, natural self!
No explanation needed. Clarissa, we bow down to you.
We know you've got one, so share your favorite '90s trend in the comments!

O say can you see how super-cool these patriotic nail art designs are?
Credit: Chalkboard NailsWe're totally digging how this basket weave design puts a whole new spin on traditional stars and stripes. It's playful, intricate and totally shakes up the red, white and blue patterns we're used to. Go ahead, surprise people this year! These nails will make you the star of any July 4th party.
Credit: Wondrously PolishedWho wouldn't love American flag nails with a fun and energetic twist? Loving the glossy swirl at the edges that give this design a candy-colored finish. Show your spirit by switching up between the classic stars and rose red stripes.
Credit: Pack A Punch Polish
As if the name didn't already suggest it, this mani can really pack a punch! The checkered diamond pattern reimagines the good ol' American flag through abstract eyes. Plus, the silver background just pushes this mani to the metallic edge. If you can nail down this design, you will be turning heads and celebrating the 4th in style.

If you're like us, you've noticed how Dylan Blake's bestie Mikayla Walker kills it in the style department. Well, we love her character's wardrobe so much that we got Cristine Prosperi to give us some exclusive details on each of her looks. (Now excuse us while we go buy some striped pants...)
EPISODE 112: "TIME OUT OF MIND"
I like how Mikayla can do both girly and sporty. This look was a good mix of both! The heart sweater was adorable and another favorite of mine!
EPISODE 111: "TRUST FUND"
Mikayla went for a more preppy look with this one! A conservative dress with a cardigan is a safe choice for a Sunday brunch, or a job interview!
Guess What: The bracelet was pulled from Imogen's closet!
EPISODE 110: "PAYING FOR IT"
This look was too cute! I love a good cropped sweater and anything pastel. This skirt made my legs look long and tanned and that's always a plus!
EPISODE 109: "PASSWORD"
Another look with country flare! Mikayla has a good sense of style in the bootie department! These jeans were high-waisted so it complimented the crop top.
I felt like I was going to a disco in this look! Pairing busy tights is tricky but the black top with small embellishments worked! Another very comfy look!
EPISODE 108: "ANCIENT HISTORY"
Who doesn't love a polka-dot dress?! My favorite part about this look was the bow belt and the shoes. The cutouts in the shoes were very trendy.
EPISODE 107: "CONNECTED"
Felt like a little cowgirl in this number! This dress was so flattering and comfortable. I liked how the necklace added a pop of color.
EPISODE 106: "LOCKDOWN"
These booties! Love how you can dress down a dress with a good pair of booties.
Guess What? One night after set, wardrobe allowed me to wear these booties out for dinner with the cast because I loved them so much!
EPISODE 105: "IN PLAIN SIGHT"
Mikayla went for a sporty look and totally nailed it! The striped pants elongated my legs and the wedge sneaker made me even taller!
Guess What? Everyone on the crew kept saying the pants looked like the suit Robin Thicke wore in Blurred Lines!
EPISODE 104: "PRIVATE EYES"
Don't be afraid of bright colors! This look was so beachy and fun.
Guess What? Wardrobe asked what I would do if I wore this. I said I would tie up the shirt, and we went for it on shooting day.
EPISODE 103: "UNKNOWN SOLDIER"
This blue pastel was one of my favs! The open back makes it so unique and the lace add a flirty touch. Mikayla is definitely the dressiest at the hospital!
EPISODE 101-102: "LAST THINGS FIRST"
Loved the pairing of pinks in this outfit and the neutral shoes tied it together!
Guess What? We had to tape the necklace down for sound purposes.

Okay. Even though it seems like June just started, *looks at watch* can you believe July is almost here?! Summer is no longer kicking off, y'all. It is ALIVE and thriving, and the arrival of the most patriotic month of the year can only mean one thing, right? 4th of July preparations! In between firing up the grill for your BBQ party and securing your best red, white and blue outfit, take a look at some 4th of July manicures that just scream star spangled GLAMOUR! *`*`\*/^*~\**`~\/**\*/?~*\?~/\ <-- That's our best attempt at firework emojis.
Credit: Amber Did ItWhat we love most about this 4th of July nail art (other than the polka dots, of course) is that it's just begging to be recreated at home. You wont need any fancy stencils or brushes, just a steady hand and some glitter polish!
Credit: Dressed Up NailsUm, how cute are those bows? Major props to our gal at Dressed Up Nails for perfecting this intricate design!

And for a less obvious option, this solid red, white and blue manicure with glitter embellishments will have you feeling all 'Merica without the fuss!
Credit: @Onthecoastnails InstagramRaise your hand if these nails make you want to open up one of those red white and blue firework popsicles! *Raises hand*

The sun is out, and 'tis the season to shed some layers! There are countless reasons the summer season rocks our socks off (literally because, you know, ~heat~), but summer fashion is probably one of the things we look forward to most. And here's why!
COLOR ME VIBRANT
Bright hues and hot weather go together. It's a fact! Summer is a great time to experiment with bold colors and accent pieces, even if you have a thing for neutrals. Don't be afraid to get noticed! Crave neon? Shine Bright. Love turquoise? Us, too.
LIFE'S A BEACH
It's summer. It's hot. It's humid. The last thing you want to do is spend hours subjecting your luscious locks to added heat of hair dryers, curling irons and straighteners. Get yourself some sea salt texturizing spray, and fall in love with the breezy, beach wave hairstyle! Not only will it appear as if you just emerged from the saline sea, but the less perfect the 'do, the better it looks!
MAKE A STATEMENT
What you give up in layers, you make up for in accessories during the warm-weather months. Statement jewelry can transform an otherwise subdued outfit into a showstopper. And if subtle is, in fact, your modus operandi, cooler pieces with chunky shapes strike a perfect balance!
State the obvious: Sandals and flip-flops are a staple of any summer wardrobe. And since you're probably not going to be stomping on the sand in combat boots (unless you're into that sorta thing!), bearing your feet is inevitable. We love summer footwear because it invites us to show off a little color on our toes (and also encourages all-around good hygiene). Hot pink, fiery red, gentle lilac -- the colors abound! Plus, we all know pedicures last way longer than manicures so if you're going to treat yourself, why not make it count?!
HEAD IN THE GAME
During the summer, sometimes (read: almost always) practicality wins. You can never quite overestimate the strength of the sun, but you can always shield it in style. We love vintage-inspired sunglasses with round frames, and fedora hats might as well be called super chic shade-makers. Plus, when you're trying to tame those pesky baby hairs on windier days at the shore, colorful cloth hairbands are a BLESSING.

I hate going from volleyball practice to a friend's house while looking like a slob, but I don't always have time to completely change outfits. Do you have any suggestions for cute transition outfits?
I always have this problem, but with going out after the gym! My suggestion? LEGGINGS. Leggings are fashion's gift to the world. You can go from home, to work out, to the mall and back again with them on. They look clean cut and are comfortable to top it off!
Coming from practice? Pack a cute sweater to change into after and tie your hair back in a neat pony. Spritz a little perfume on and you're ready to go! But ladies, remember…when wearing leggings, always (and I'm talking ALWAYS) wear a longer shirt to cover that booty!

What is one item of clothing or an accessory you would never be caught dead wearing?
Oh wow. I think I could go on for days with this question!!! And I'm not sure that's a good thing! I would never ever ever be caught dead wearing those rubber slippers (CROCS)!!! Although, when we film Degrassi, all the girls wear them in between scenes... Yes they are comfortable! But they are not cute people!! Even on set when someone takes a photo of us, I always take them off for the photo. I cannot stand them!
Another fashion DON'T for me: pajama pants... in public! Why do people still do this?! Throw on a pair of leggings! Come on!
The photo below is one of Imogen's outfits. Can you spot those ugly slippers?

There are so many cute styles of boots but I don't know how to pair them with outfits! What types of boots go best with pants vs. skirts and dresses?
I can see how this could get tricky! Lucky for us, there are so many different styles of boots to choose from these days! Boots have become such a staple in people's wardrobes. In my opinion, it's always good to have booties, knee high boots and a motorcycle boot.
I used to be a little frightened about wearing any style of boots with skirts, but these days you can totally pull that off. When wearing a skirt I would probably wear booties with a small heel. Or if it's a little colder outside throw on a pair of leggings and knee high boots. For knee highs, I would suggest getting a tighter boot so they hug your calves!
