FAN QUESTION: What is your best go-to hairstyle when you have no time to do something fancy or special to it? Do you have a favourite hair accessory that you cannot live without?

My life consists of attending many fun events, but a lot of the time I'm not given much notice. With little time to book a hair appointment, I've mastered the art of simple high fashion hair styles that never let me down!

One of my favourite hairstyles is a pin-straight, slicked-back high pony tail. Sounds way more complicated than it is. Start with brushing your hair out, straightening it much as possible and tie your hair up wherever you desire (I suggest fairly high on your head). Then, using an empty mascara wand, either drench it in hair spray or dip it in gel. Comb back any fly always and stray hairs until it's perfectly sleek! Tip: This sharp look paired with cheek contour/blush is amazing as a look!

My favourite hair accessory would definitely be my thin jewel studded head band. Its base is elastic, so it works with my hair down, in a ponytail, and over my head like a crown. The added bling jazzes up even the most simple hair style. Tip: Get two and wrap one around your arm twice as a bracelet.

The best part about personal image and fashion is that it's YOURS! Play around with different styles, bend all of the "rules" and make it your own.

FAN QUESTION: Do you have any solutions for freshening up after gym class? I always just put my hair in a ponytail but it's getting very boring.

Growing up heavily involved in extracurricular physical activity, I'd often have a workout before school. Having the time to wash your hair isn't always easy, especially when hurrying off to an early morning class! Depending on the occasion, you can:

    1. Create alternate options for your hairstyle: You can try braids, a half up / half down style, or clipping your hair up to create a small poof!

    2. Accessories: Pull your hair back with headbands, clips, cute fashionable hats (if it's not against your school's dress code) or clip in hair extensions to create volume!

    3. Dry shampoo: One of my key products to freshen up my hair when needed, the aerosol spray consists of fine, non-coloured oil-absorbing powders. Spray it in, leave for about 30 seconds, flip your head upside down, shake your hair out by massaging your scalp lightly, brush your hair - et voil! A quick fix for sweaty hair!

FAN QUESTION: I'm so lazy in the morning and I rarely have time to put on any makeup. Do you have a good five minute plan that I can follow?

Although we'd like to look red carpet ready every moment of the day, we simply don't have the time each morning to get that dolled up. I came up with a basic makeup routine to say "I care about my image..and my beauty sleep!"

    1. A light liquid foundation that doubles as extra skin moisturizer to keep skin looking healthy and fresh. Apply it over your entire face with either a sponge, a foundation brush, or even with your own fingers!

    2. A rosy pink creme lipstick. It's neutral but alive, a subtle touch of glam.

    3. Optional: A skin-coloured eye shadow all over the lid (feel free to use shimmer or non shimmer options).

    4. A healthy dose of mascara. On top of completing your makeup look, it will also open your eyes up giving the illusion that you're wide awake!

    5. With a foundation or concealer 2 shades lighter than your skin tone, use your fingers and pat the product under your eyes to highlight and brighten up your look!

If you have extra time (for a bold touch): Liquid eyeliner on the top lid only, slightly winged out.

Et voila! A little more than a fresh face, but less than your party look!

    What's your go-to makeup product?

I don't wear a lot of makeup, but when I do my fav product is a great concealer, which I mostly use under my eyes. Sometimes, a lack of sleep or even just stress can really enhance those under-eye bags. Using concealer just brightens up your whole makeup look!

You can also use concealer to contour your face, but don't forget to blend it in! Whether you need to brighten under-eye circles or cover redness and blemishes, it always does the trick. Annie Clark (a.k.a Fiona Coyne) actually passed this tip along to me. I never go anywhere without bringing it! It's a life saver.

Fall In Love With Fall Fashion

What are some subtle ways to wear makeup without having it caked all over my face? I just want a little something.

I feel you, girl! Makeup is such a tricky thing to master and I am NO professional. I don't like wearing that much makeup because I wear so much when we film Degrassi! Usually my daily routine consists of a little bit of blush, filling in my eyebrows, and if I'm feeling adventurous that day, mascara will make the line-up.

Sometimes I even skip all of that! A hint of tinted moisturizer and a pop of lip colour can do the trick! I've been wearing no makeup lately with a deep purple lip. So effortless but still so stylish! Remember ladies... less is MORE!

Hold still, Kelso...I love the episode of That '70s Show where Jackie decides to give Kelso a glam, David-Bowie-inspired makeover.

How do you feel about makeup...
    -on Kelso?
    -on yourself?
    -on your friends?
-on the people you're attracted to?
