In January 2008, he came out of the closet in an exclusive TV interview with
eTalk and an exclusive print story in
fab. In 2008, Adamo began hosting YTV's talent competition show
The Next Star.
In 2009, he starred alongside three of his fellow
Degrassi actors in the Toronto production of the award-winning off-Broadway stage play
Dog Sees God.
