Characters

Danny Tanner

(Danny is played by Bob Saget.)

Danny is the father of D.J., Stephanie, and Michelle. He works as a sportscaster and co-host on the local morning show, Wake Up, San Francisco. Being a single dad isn't easy, so he appreciates having his brother-in-law, Jesse, and his best friend, Joey, around to help raise the three girls. No matter how full the house gets, Danny does his best to keep it neat and organized; he's a "lean, mean, cleaning machine."

Uncle Jesse

(Uncle Jesse is played by John Stamos.)

Jesse Katsopolis is independent, rebellious, and a bit reckless, but he does his best to act responsible around the Tanner family. That can be tricky at times, because while he knows a lot about rock music, Elvis impersonation, and motorcycles, he doesn't know much about raising kids. He sometimes lets a pretty girl take priority over the family, but NOTHING takes priority over his hair. It's sort of the love of his life -- at least, until he meets Becky.

Uncle Joey

(Joey is played by Dave Coulier.)

Uncle Joey isn't technically related to the Tanners, but he's been Danny's best friend since elementary school. Although he moves in to help Danny raise the kids, in many ways, he's like a kid himself. A stand-up comedian, Joey loves cartoons and does impressions of various famous characters. Although Joey's childish sense of humor sometimes drives Jesse crazy, they eventually co-found a successful advertising business.

Becky Donaldson

(Becky is played by Lori Loughlin.)

Becky is Danny's co-host on Wake Up, San Francisco. She grew in Nebraska, where she lived on a farm and hosted a show called A.M. Omaha. Although she and Jesse are almost total opposites, they can't help falling in love. A caring, intelligent, and down-to-earth woman, Becky grows very close to the Tanner girls, and becomes almost like a mother to them.

D.J. Tanner

(D.J. is played by Candace Cameron.)

The oldest daughter in the Tanner house, D.J. is a good kid -- especially compared to Kimmy Gibler, her unpredictable, slightly wild best friend. D.J. is typically a good influence on Kimmy, but when she's drawn into Kimmy's schemes, anything can happen. When "Deej" wants something, she works hard for it; she often tries to raise money through odd jobs. Although her younger sister Stephanie looks up to her, they don't always see eye to eye -- especially when D.J. catches Stephanie reading her diary.

Stephanie Tanner

(Stephanie is played by Jodie Sweetin.)

Stephanie is the middle child in the Tanner family, and she sometimes feels a bit overlooked. She looks up to her big sister D.J., but that admiration frequently leads to sisterly snooping and disagreements. Stephanie is perky, talkative, and she loves to hula hoop. Her favorite possession is her stuffed animal, Mr. Bear. If something offends her, she's quick to express her dismay with her favorite exclamation, "How rude!"

Michelle Tanner

(Michelle is played by Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen.)

The baby of the Tanner family, Michelle is an expert at using her cuteness to get her way. She's especially adorable as she's first learning to talk -- like when she calls ice cream "ouce cream." Michelle has a mischievous side, and sometimes hides other people's stuff for fun. She also loves cookies, dancing, and an old dish rag she calls Benny.
