Hal is Malcolm's father, a kid-at-heart who is more relaxed than his wife in disciplining his sons. He is, however, completely devoted to Lois.
BRYAN CRANSTON Emmy award-winning actor Bryan Cranston was featured in popular 90's series like "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" and "Chicago Hope," and did voiceover work for "The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers." In 1996 Cranston played Virgil 'Gus' Grissom in the Tom Hanks-directed, "That Thing You Do!" After a recurring role as an eccentric dentist on "Seinfeld" and a meddling neighbor on "The King of Queens," Cranston took on the role of Hal, the manic head of the family in "Malcolm in the Middle." Cranston can currently be seen in the award-winning "Breaking Bad" on AMC.
