Paula Carlin

It was Paula who picked up the family and moved to L.A. taking a lucrative job as a surgeon in the ER. The move created some strain between her and Arthur. She splits her time between the hospital and trying to keep up with the kids' lives, a race she seems to be losing. She wants the world for her kids, but a world that she envisioned, which is why Spencer's relationship with Ashley caused her so much grief. She learned many lessons from Spencer, and now she has to make them stick.
