Avril Lavigne Picture - TeenNick Rocks Out

Avril Lavigne

"Av...ril... Av...ril..." As the crowd chants her name, Avril rises onto the stage for a sold-out show at the Air Canada Centre. The best part of watching this hit-packed show on TeenNick is that you can sing along to "Girlfriend" and "Sk8er Boi" as loud as you want. (Plus, you get to watch from multiple camera angles. That's tough to do when you're at a show in person.)

Canadian singer-songwriter Avril Lavigne got an early start to her music career -- she appeared on stage with Shania Twain when she was fifteen. At sixteen, she had a $2 million recording contract. The success of her debut album, Let Go, made Avril the bestselling female artist of 2002. Her second album, Under My Skin, sold more than 10 million copies. Avril's third album, The Best Damn Thing, debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, and "Girlfriend" was a number one single. In 2011, Avril released her fourth studio album, Goodbye Lullaby. (Fun fact: Avril sang the theme song for The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie.)
